Total Family

Total Family for Advisors

What the platform does for a practice, before you create an account.

Financial planning is expected. Legacy is what most practices never get to, because there is no repeatable way to do it.

Total Family gives an advisory firm a structured way to run legacy work with clients: the values and purpose conversations, the letters, the milestones, and the record that outlives any single meeting. Your clients get their own accounts. You see how far each household has got.

This page is for deciding whether it fits your practice. If you have already signed up, go to Set Up Your Firm.

What It Changes About Client Work

Legacy becomes a service you can actually deliver. Most advisors know the conversation matters and have no framework for running it. Personal and Family Vision give you one, with the questions already written.

The relationship reaches the next generation. Wealth transfer is where advisory relationships usually end. Families who have written a shared vision together, with the children involved, arrive at that moment with you already in the room.

One conversation tends to produce more. Legacy work is unusually easy for a client to describe to somebody else, because it is about their family rather than their portfolio.

What You Get

  • A white-labelled client experience. Your families see your firm's branding, not ours.
  • Unlimited client households per advisor. You are not rationing seats across your book.
  • The full family product, for every household you invite: Personal Vision, Family Vision, Milestones, Legacy Letters, and Chat with Kin.
  • A dashboard over your whole book, showing who has joined, who has finished a vision, and who has gone quiet.
  • Material for you, as well as for your clients. The Advisor Library and Advisor Academy cover how to introduce this work and run the conversations.

How Firms Are Set Up

A firm account holds your team and your client families.

  • Partner admins run the firm: billing, team, and every household the firm supports.
  • Partner advisors work with the households assigned to them.
  • Client families get ordinary Total Family accounts. They see your branding and their own material, not your dashboard or each other.

What It Costs to Start

Firms begin on a 30-day free trial with the full platform, including Premium for every family you invite during it. A card is held at sign-up but you are not charged on the day, and the trial dialog states the exact date billing would begin.

Plans and the Trial covers what happens at the end, and what your families keep.

What It Is Not

It does not manage assets, hold custody, or produce compliance documents. Nothing here replaces your planning software or your CRM. Total Family sits alongside them and covers the part they have nothing to say about.
