Guest Sharing allows families to invite external contacts and give them controlled, read-only access to selected family assets in the Total Family portal.

Overview

Guest Sharing enables you to share specific parts of your Total Family portal with people outside your immediate family. Whether it's a trusted advisor, extended family member, or professional contact, you control exactly what they can see.

Navigate to:

Settings → Guest Sharing

Guest Sharing Dashboard

The Guest Sharing dashboard has three filters:

  • View All – Everyone your account is shared with
  • Guests – All external guests you have invited
  • Coach – The coach associated with your account (if applicable)

Inviting a Guest

  1. Click the "Invite" button in the top right corner

  1. Click "Add a new family member"

  1. Fill in the required details for the new guest

  1. Select which assets and sections you want to share with this guest and Save

Guest users:

  • See a clear "Guest Sharing Mode" experience
  • Have read-only access to the items you selected
  • Receive email invitations for sign-up or login

Managing Guest Permissions

You can review a guest's current permissions at any time:

To change permissions:

  • Use the toggles to enable or disable access to specific assets
  • Save your changes to update the guest's view

All changes are saved in real time and reflected immediately for the guest.


Guest Experience

When guests access your shared content, they will:

  • See a "Guest Sharing Mode" indicator clearly displayed
  • Have read-only access to the sections you've enabled
  • Not be able to edit or modify any content
  • Only see the specific features you've granted access to
