Milestones

The Milestones feature allows your family to capture, organize, and celebrate important life events. From birthdays and anniversaries to achievements and spiritual milestones, your family timeline becomes a shared record of meaningful memories.

Milestones are only available to families with a Premium subscription.

Overview

The Milestones feature allows your family to capture, organize, and celebrate important life events. From birthdays and anniversaries to achievements and spiritual milestones, your family timeline becomes a shared record of meaningful memories.

Create Your First Milestone

When you open Milestones for the first time, you’ll see an empty state page.

Steps

1. Navigate to Total Legacy > Milestones.

2. Click Add Milestone (either the top-right button or the one in the center).

Note: This screen only appears the first time. Once milestones are created, you’ll see the timeline view instead.

Choose a Layout

After clicking Add Milestone, a pop-up appears titled Choose a Layout.

Steps

1. Use the < and > arrows to browse layouts.
2. Layouts include placeholders for Title, Category, Date, Location, Description, and Images.
3. Select the layout that fits your milestone.

Tip: You can upload images later if you don’t have them ready.

Enter Milestone Details

Fill in the fields that bring your milestone to life:

Steps

1. Title – Name the milestone.

2. Category – Choose from:
   • Birthday
   • Anniversary
   • Graduation
   • Achievement
   • Spiritual Milestone
   • Move

3. Date – Select with the calendar picker.

4. Location – Enter where the event happened.
5. Description – Add a story or memory.
6. Image – Upload or remove images.
7. Is this a Family Milestone? – Toggle between private (unchecked) or visible to all family members (checked).
8. Save when done.

Note: Family milestones appear in everyone’s timeline; private ones are visible only to you.

View Your Milestones

Your events appear on a vertical timeline, grouped by month and year.

• Each milestone card shows Title, Category, Date, and Image.
• Hover on the vertical line to reveal a + symbol and add new milestones directly.

Edit a Milestone

You can update details at any time.

Steps

1. Click the milestone card.
2. In the detail view, click the pencil icon.
3. Update fields (title, category, date, location, description, image, visibility).
4. Save your changes.

Note: Only the creator can edit milestones.

Delete a Milestone

Remove a milestone permanently.

Steps

1. Open the milestone card.
2. In the detail view, click the trash icon next to Save.
3. Confirm deletion.

Warning: Deletions are permanent and cannot be undone.
